The Engineering Department oversees the administration, design, construction, inspection and replacement of the City’s infrastructure, including transportation, utility and flood control projects associated with the redevelopment of aging City infrastructure and new development. Capital Improvement Plan
The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is developed to help identify and prioritize the needs for construction of capital improvement projects, specifically related to the City's infrastructure, based on financial projections and available revenue sources. Projects included can be changed by City Commission reconsideration, availability of funding, infrastructure priorities and ability to manage/implement project.

The Beautification Committee helps assist the City in developing and pursuing initiatives that promote the beautification and aesthetic enhancement of the City of Devils Lake. The Beautification Committee meets on an as-need basis. Meeting minutes are available at City Offices.
