Duties
The Engineering Department oversees the administration, design, construction, inspection and replacement of the City’s infrastructure, including transportation, utility and flood control projects associated with the redevelopment of aging City infrastructure and new development. The Engineering Department is responsible for the following divisions:
- Curb, Gutter, Sidewalk or Driveway
- Engineering Services
- GIS/Mapping
- Flood Control/Floodplain Management
- Project Design and Construction
- Traffic Engineering
The Engineering Department is also responsible for requests before the following Boards/Commissions:

Duties
The Beautification Committee helps assist the City in developing and pursuing initiatives that promote the beautification and aesthetic enhancement of the City of Devils Lake. The Beautification Committee meets on an as-need basis. Meeting minutes are available at City Offices.
