Parks in Devils Lake, North Dakota
The Devils Lake Park District has seven parks in and around Devils Lake that fall under the Devils Lake Park Board’s jurisdiction:
420 3rd St NE
This park located in Historic Downtown Devils Lake provides a greenspace for community events with picnic tables, benches and on-site power to allow. The park is surrounded by City owned parking lots that provide additional space for vendors and activities.
Woodland Ave/Chataugua Ave, Lakewood
This park provides playground, restroom facilities, one ball field, lighted outdoor hockey rink, basketball courts, picnic tables, picnic shelters and grills. A boat ramp, fishing pier and dock are also located close by. A bike path connects Lakewood Park to the City of Devils Lake.
Odd Fellows Park
14th Ave NE/6th St NE
This park is part of a larger drainage slough and provides wildlife habitat, open space and is adjacent to a large sledding hill (KDLR) during the winter months. Remnants of the old, stone park entrance pillars are still on-site.
4th St SW
This park provides an indoor shelter and three outdoor shelters, picnic tables, grills, five softball diamonds (one lighted), concession stand, restroom facilities, playground equipment, three horseshoe courts, baseball field (lighted), two sand volleyball courts, flower beds, Bill Jerome Indoor Sports Arena, skate park, band shelter and is the current home of Fort Totten Little Theater.
11th St NW/Roundhouse Park Dr NW
This community park located in the Roundhouse Subdivision is equipped with playground equipment, a soccer field, basketball court and picnic shelter.
5th Ave NE/12th St NE
This park provides playground equipment, four softball fields, Cal Ripken level baseball field, Mike Dosch Memorial swimming pool with slide, outdoor fitness area, restroom facilities, concession stand, flower beds, wildlife habitat, sand volleyball courts, activities building, two outdoor shelters, picnic tables, skating rink with boards, two outdoor basketball courts, walking path, dog park, disc golf course and soccer complex. An activity building that can seat up to 120 people and can be used for several different social events is located within the park. The park acts a wetland mitigation site for the US Fish and Wildlife Service which makes it an ideal wildlife habitat with a seasonal catch and release fishing pond.
8th Ave SE
This neighborhood park located south of Hwy 2 E along 8th Ave SE is equipped with new playground equipment, a picnic shelter and outdoor basketball court and is connected by the Hwy 2 walking paths.
