Fire Fighter

The Devils Lake Fire Department is looking for a self motivated person that has great inter personal skills and is willing to work with others to grow and develop the Devils Lake Fire Department. This position is a very rewarding position for people that enjoy working hard and collaborating with others.

The Fire Department offers a great benefits package through the City of Devils Lake. The salary range is from $47,316 starting, to $72,924 yearly. Pay will be based on the fire department tiered system that was developed based on certifications and experience. Retirement for firefighters is through NDPERs.

The position will be expected to work a rotational shift. If you have questions about the rotational shift please feel free to reach out. Some of the duties that will be required are as follows. Helping with trainings, completing documentation, inspections, pre-plans, hydrant flow testing, equipment maintenance, buildings and grounds maintenance, street light repair, traffic light repair, emergency sirens maintenance, ARFF duties, and other duties as assigned.
